Holiday Punch Recipe

Drool Over This!

You know as well as we do that the holidays are for good food and good drink. It’s a time to gather with family and friends to cheers with your favorite cocktail (or what you thought was your favorite, until now!).

Whether you’re hosting the party or bringing along a pot-luck specialty to a gathering, don’t for one moment forget about the booze; we’re talking the Holiday Punch!

Go ahead and put the ingredients below on your grocery list now, because this is what you’re bringing to the party.

Our Holiday Punch recipe will yield approximately 20 servings and take literally 10 minutes or less to make (providing all ingredients are pre-chilled).

This recipe couldn’t get any simpler.

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups 100% cranberry or pomegranate juice (not cocktail, not unsweetened)
  • 2 bottles sparkling dry wine
  • 2 cups pineapple juice
  • 2 cups ginger ale
  • 1 ½ cups dark rum
  • 3 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 oranges, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup cranberries

Instructions:

Start with dusting off your favorite punch bowl or drink dispenser from your upper cupboard; it’s that time of year again, so polish it nice!

The simplicity of these instructions is unreal…ready for it?

Just mix all ingredients together in a bowl or serving jug and voila, there you have it, a bright, full-flavored bowl of cheer.

Place a large ladle next to the punch bowl (if using) and this cocktail is ready to sing (or at least help you sing later on).

Don’t forget to have an ice bin available so that your guests can add ice if they’d like. Do notput the ice directly into the bowl with the punch as it will dilute all of the flavors and mess up your masterpiece.

Holiday Punch Recipe Notes

**Before making this cocktail, be sure your guests are set to arrive at any moment because it is a carbonated drink.  You don’t want to pre-make this a day ahead because it will lose its bubbly goodness, and we don’t want that now do we.

**The cranberry juice should NOT be the juice cocktail or the unsweetened form. It should be strictly 100% juice. If you are having a hard time finding this, pomegranate juice will work wonderfully too.

Don’t worry if you accidently purchased the unsweetened version, just doctor up the recipe by adding 1/4 cup of simple syrup into the mixture to offset the tartness.

**Dry sparkling wine is best in this recipe, as sweetened sparklers are too overwhelming. Trust us on this one! Look for bubblies that have the word “brut” or extra dry on the label. Don’t be afraid to ask the grocery clerk for help if need-be. Check out one of our other blogs on The 5 Best Bubblies under $20!

Holiday Punch Mocktail

Our Holiday Punch can easily be made non-alcoholic for the kiddos or non-drinkers at the party.

What you’ll have to do is omit the sparkling wine as well as the rum and in substitute, just add 2 liters of ginger ale.

Simple . as . that.

We are here to help making celebratory get-togethers a little bit more memorable and talk-worthy, all thanks to this Holiday Punch!
